Singh named 2017 ACAC Conference Men"s Soccer South Division Coach of the Year

2017, October 26

Olds, AB (October 26, 2017) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is proud to announce that Macky Singh, head coach of the Olds College Broncos soccer program, has been named the ACAC Men's South Soccer Coach of the Year.

Coming off a disappointing 2016 season in which the team finished in last place in the south division, Singh coached the young formidable 2017 Broncos team, boasting 12 first year ACAC athletes, to a fourth place finish in the south division.

Singh has devoted his life to soccer. The Malaysian has been coaching soccer for the past 20 years internationally, yet still refers to himself as a student of the game, evident by the numerous hours spent in his office going over game film, networking with coaching colleagues and attending coaching seminars.

"Macky has built the Olds College Broncos men's soccer program over the past three years bringing this program to the next level," says Linda Henderson, Olds College Broncos Athletic Director. "He is an outstanding coach, mentor and leader in the community and is very deserving of this recognition."

"The Olds College Broncos are very proud of his accomplishments!" Henderson continues.

Singh received the award on October 26, 2017 at the ACAC Men's Soccer Conference Championship Banquet held in Edmonton.

About the ACAC: The ACAC is the governing body for intercollegiate athletics in Alberta.
